I then manually updated my addons and imported the notepad file. Before I made any changes I exported my text config and put in a notepad file. I am not sure if this will work for you as I'm not sure your exact uses of the UI are but here is how I updated mine. Might mess with the files a bit and see what I can get to work out. I got very excited about that github link, even said "updated 42 minutes ago" but then I realized it had nothing to do with ElvUI and ultimately completely different I appreciate the effort!
